Hazy Tiger is a modern Korean restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Auckland CBD, known for its bold interiors, vibrant nightlife atmosphere, and contemporary take on Korean dining. Inspired by Seoul’s late-night food and bar culture, the venue blends tapas-style sharing plates, handcrafted cocktails, and immersive hospitality into a highly social dining experience.
Our partnership with Hazy Tiger focused on building a connected digital ecosystem designed to increase bookings, functions, customer retention, and long-term brand awareness across multiple channels. As a visually driven hospitality venue with a strong nightlife identity, the strategy centred around creating campaigns and systems that could consistently attract new customers while encouraging repeat visitation.
We initially worked with the venue on one-off projects including cinematic video production and a new website designed to better reflect the brand’s atmosphere, personality, and customer experience. The website was built around conversion, creating a seamless user journey for bookings, events, and functions.
Following the launch, we continued supporting the brand through ongoing email marketing, Meta advertising, Google Ads, and customer retention strategies. Meta campaigns focused on both customer acquisition and retargeting, helping continuously introduce the venue to new audiences while keeping previous diners engaged through promotional and remarketing campaigns. Alongside this, Google Ads campaigns targeted high-intent dining and function-related searches to increase reservations and private event enquiries.
A major part of the ongoing strategy focused on email marketing automations designed to increase customer lifetime value and retention. We developed automated flows for new customers that encouraged reviews to help strengthen SEO performance, promoted gift card purchases, and introduced customers to Seoul Night — another restaurant owned by the same group located nearby — helping cross-promote similar dining experiences to audiences already engaged with the brand. We also created loyalty-focused birthday automations that targeted customers approaching their birthday with personalised offers such as complimentary desserts, helping drive repeat visitation and strengthen long-term customer engagement.
